ST. GEORGE -- Police in St. George used a Taser on a suspect after they say he attacked an officer trying to take him into custody.

Officers responded to reports of a family fight Sunday afternoon on the 1600 West block of 1190 North. When they arrived, they say 20-year-old Chad Jones refused to follow instructions to get down on the ground. Instead, they say he ran at officers and threw a rock at one. Officers then used a Taser on him and arrested him.

Jones is charged with aggravated assault against a police officer, failure to stop at the command of a law enforcement officer, public intoxication, and other crimes.
