(KSL News) Armed men tried to rob two Tesoro gas stations this morning, but only one got away with any cash.
The first time, a man walked into a Tesoro gas station at 2280 South Highland Drive and demanded money from the clerk.
But the would-be robber ran off when the clerk threatened to push the robbery alarm button.
About 15 minutes later, a similar robbery had the opposite outcome.
A robber hit the Tesoro station at 874 East and 1300 South. He told the clerk to hand over the cash, which he did.
The clerk says the suspect was holding something in the sleeve of his clothing that looked like a gun.
Police believe the same man is responsible for both incidents, but have not confirmed that.
