SALT LAKE COUNTY -- A nurse has been charged after he was accused of taking a naked picture of a patient.

The Deseret News reports the 44-year-old male nurse was charged last week in 3rd District Court for an incident that allegedly took place about a month ago.

The Deseret News reports the picture was snapped when the patient was naked, asleep and in a compromised position. She told investigators she didn't know anything about it.

Another patient reported seeing the nurse enter the woman's room at night with a cell phone.

When confronted, the man at first told administrators at the Evergreen Canyon Health and Rehabilitation Center his cell phone did not have a camera. He then told them that he took the photo because he was worried about how the woman was sleeping and wanted to show her nurse.

The nurse now is charged with voyeurism.
