WASATCH COUNTY -- Troopers have released the name of a man who crashed his motorcycle on U.S. Highway 40 Friday night.

Troopers say 61-year-old David Evans, of West Jordan, lost control of his bike around 8 p.m., about 15 miles east of Heber City.

He swerved off the highway and fell down a hill. Emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene.

The accident shut down Highway 40 in both directions for 30 minutes.
