LINDON, Utah (AP) -- The city has eliminated a law restricting door-to-door sales.
City leaders say they feared a lawsuit by The Kirby Company which has sued several Utah communities over laws that make it hard to sell cleaning products.
Lindon's law had required a $500 bond and unspecified background checks by police.
Residents can ask solicitors to leave or post a sign on their home saying no solicitors are allowed. In the past three years, Lindon has only issued three tickets for illegal soliciting ------ Information from: The Daily Herald, http://www.heraldextra.com
