(KSL News) -- Police are investigating a fatal accident along 700 East yesterday evening.
Witnesses told police the car was probably going pretty fast around a curve.
It hit a curb, crossed about eight lanes of traffic and then ended up wrapped around a tree.
The driver, 25-year-old John Jones of Murray, died.
The passenger, 18-year-old Wade Christensen of Murray, was ejected from the vehicle and is in serious condition.
Police are trying to determine if alcohol may have been a factor.
