(KSL News) The weather in Helper, Utah may be a little frightful this weekend-- about 10 degrees. But that didn't stop the Christmas spirit or the people who live in Utah's Coal Country.
The Helper Festival of Lights parade has been going on now for nearly two decades.
Parade organizers asked our own Dick Nourse to officiate on the grandstand last night as the floats passed by.
Dick says he can't figure out how the trumpet players managed to pucker up and play those horns in the freezing temperatures, or for that matter how the parade royalty could wave and smile to everyone without chattering teeth.
But, everyone dressed warmly, got in the spirit of things, and were rewarded with a big finish. As the parade ended, fireworks lit up the winter sky.
