SALT LAKE CITY -- A woman escaped from two alleged kidnappers Saturday morning by jumping out of a car window.
Salt Lake City police say around 8 a.m. Earlene Parker, 19, and Darnell Crawford, 23, pulled their car alongside a woman in her 20s near 900 West and 700 North. They say Parker got out, punched the woman in the face, then pushed her into the car and took off.
However, when the car came to a stop near 600 North and 1100 West, the woman jumped out of one of the windows and ran away.
Police later arrested the pair and booked them into jail. Officers say the two were trying to force the woman to get them drugs.
