OGDEN -- Ogden City is hoping for $4 million in federal stimulus money to restore and repair a leg of the Ogden River.
City officials tell the Salt Lake Tribune that the money would be used to restore the river's wide channel, which would increase wetlands by 50,000 square feet.
The total cost for the project would be more than $7 million, but Ogden City says the stimulus funds would help get it started.
State water officials will vote on the funds Wednesday.
