Gene Kennedy ReportingWhile Craig Gregerson waits for a trial in connection with Destiny Norton's murder, his ex-wife continues her own legal battle.

Cadie Gregerson faces a domestic violence charge, stemming from an incident with her husband months before Destiny's disappearance.

She says therapy is helping her deal with her husband's arrest and all the publicity. Yet, at the same, time she can't believe she has to face a jury on this domestic violence charge.

Cadie Gregerson: "It's a bunch of B.S. I didn't do anything harmful. I never laid a finger on anybody."

Her ex-husband, Craig Gregerson told police she kicked in a door to their home last April.

Delano Findlay, Gregerson's Attorney: "What would you have done if Craig had taken your child and said you'll never seer your daughter again?"

Gregerson's lawyer tried to get the charge dropped, but a trial is scheduled.

Findlay: We don't think the jury will convict her and that's not just because her husband is Craig Gregerson, it's because of things that happened."

Those "things" include domestic violence against Cadie Gregerson. We first met her last July, when she was searching along with others for Destiny Norton.

She looked much different at today's court appearance--healthier, even happier.

Findlay: "The further she gets away from the incident with Craig and Destiny, the better she's getting."

But the trial scheduled for today was continued for more than 2 months. Gregerson is asking herself, "Can we just end it? That's all I want. I want my life back."

Cadie Gregerson's lawyer says there may be a plea agreement on the table. If not, a jury will hear the case in late February.
