SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah House Speaker Greg Curtis appears to be in good shape after a recount this morning in Salt Lake County.

The Sandy Republican picked up another vote, raising his slim victory to 20 votes over Democrat Jay Seegmiller.

The results were reported by county Clerk Sherrie Swensen. She says there will be one more check tomorrow, when officials look at paper records in five percent of the electronic voting machines.

Swensen doubts it change the outcome.

In House district 45, the recount shows Republican Mary Walker is still the winner over Democrat Laura Black.
