LOGAN -- A lawsuit involving nine people killed and injured a rollover accident outside of Logan four years ago will move forward.
Families of seven of those killed in the crash, as well as two people who survived, are suing Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, asking for information about how the tires are made and how that process could have caused the accident.
A tire on the van carrying the victims blew, causing it to roll. Eight students and an instructor were killed in the accident.
Tire company officials had said releasing that information would expose company secrets and asked an appeals court to throw out the case.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that yesterday the appeals court denied that motion.
