(KSL News) Decorated ornaments and boxes are aimed at helping those in need this holiday season.
The Arc of Utah began decorating ornaments and boxes today for its annual holiday project.
Volunteers with Rowland Hall St. Marks painted and decorated boxes that will be set outside businesses to gather donations. The volunteers also decorated ornaments to place on a Christmas tree.
People can pick ornaments from the tree, and provide toys, clothing and other items to the person listed on the back.
Maureen Jenks/Arc of Utah: "These are individuals who otherwise wouldn't experience the holidays. They are low income as well as having a variety of disabilities. So this will really give them a holiday that they would otherwise not experience."
The Arc of Utah hopes to help 250 people this year.
