WEST JORDAN, Utah (AP) -- The principal of Copper Hills High School in West Jordan has stopped distribution of the school's literary magazine because of objections to profanity and some of the artwork in the publication.

Copper Hills principal Todd Quarnberg confiscated the 2009 edition of Chasms before it was released at a concert on Tuesday.

He says the recall is temporary pending a review of the magazine. He says he will make a decision on the issue soon and says he recognizes students have put a lot of effort into the publication.

But students are worried that the magazine won't go out because school is ending in a couple of weeks.

The literary magazine is designed and edited as part of a class taught by Lou Jessop, who wouldn't comment except to say he's confident things will be resolved.
