SALT LAKE CITY -- He pleaded guilty to murder, and now Christopher Alvey is facing new charges from an unrelated crime.
Prosecutors say they were able to link Alvey to a burglary in Salt Lake County using fingerprints taken after he was arrested in connection with the death of Ashley Sparks.
In April Alvey pleaded guilty to aggravated murder for his role in the murder of Ashley Sparks.
He will be sentenced for that crime in June and then face the new charges.
