SALT LAKE CITY -- A Salt Lake man is recovering after he was kidnapped, beaten and robbed. Officers are now looking for his attackers.

The man says he was just riding his bike home from a friend's house around 12:20 Monday morning. He was on 400 West at 221 South when a car pulled up.

He said, "One of them leaned down and said, ‘Hey, do you have any drugs?'"

Salt Lake City Detective Dennis McGowan says that's when the two men pistol-whipped him, pulled him into a car and drove him to the very remote Warm Springs Road at about 2000 North.

"That was their intent, clearly, to get him up there in an isolated area and either continue the attack, or certainly to rob him and then get rid of him.," McGowan said.

They took his phone, shoes, wallet and jewelry and pushed him out of the car.

The suspects' car is described as a late model brown sedan, possibly a Chevy Impala.
