I got an email from a listener this morning that said, "I have read the news online via KSL for a few years now. I wondered if there could be added a 'good news minute' . . . or maybe a few. It seems there is so much bad news, unhappy news, distressing and worrisome news that takes the headlines. Would it be possible to put something beautiful and sweet, tender and kind, something that lifts the heart?"
Do you agree?
I find myself relating to what this listener is feeling, like I just need something positive. I don't want to sugarcoat the news. I want to hear it all, but couldn't we balance the hard-to-hear with the easy-on-the-ear and the heart?
I do think there is power in the images and thoughts we entertain. Why not look for the positive, which surely is out there, and include it every hour? One minute an hour. Doesn't seem like to much to ask.
Note to boss . . . what say you?????
