Today is my birthday. (45 if you're curious.) I woke up feeling so grateful for this sweet life. I felt grateful as my baby threw up his bottle and grateful when my 4-year-old wouldn't go back to bed. I felt grateful when I walked in the bathroom and saw the "Happy Birthday" logo draped across the mirror. I felt grateful when I turned on my phone and received all of the many birthday wishes from my friends and loved ones.
Then I got to work, and my sweet husband conspired to send my favorite Gastronomy fruit tart to me for breakfast. You just don't start a day better than this.
One of the strange and wonderful things about being on the radio is that the size of your family expands. To my extended family, I thank you. It is a privilege to be remembered by you on this day.
