SALT LAKE CITY -- Troopers say alcohol was involved in a crash that sent a vehicle over a barrier and into oncoming traffic.
The Utah Highway Patrol says a man was driving around 85 miles an hour on Interstate 80 near 1200 East when he slammed into the cement barricades separating eastbound and westbound traffic.
The impact knocked over one barricade and displaced another.
The SUV landed on its side in oncoming traffic. It happened at 2 a.m., so traffic was sparse and the driver wasn't seriously injured.
Troopers arrested him for DUI.
