Since the Murray City School District's beginnings in 1904, we have always been committed to providing students with a quality education. We strive to help each and every student succeed in the classroom, on the field or court, in the lab, on stage and especially as they proceed towards their adult roles in life.

Murray High School is highly focused on offering rigorous academic options and has a strong showing of students participating in AP (advanced placement) classes and concurrent enrollment (college level) courses. In fact, MHS ranks #1 in the state for number of SLCC (Salt Lake Community College) associate degrees earned by high school seniors. We have a number of students named as Sterling Scholar State Finalists and National Merit Scholarship Finalists along with top recognition in CTE programs, athletic programs, and extra-curricular programs.

A committed educational institution is always looking for opportunities to improve. While we realize we have areas where we must improve, our core test scores are very comparable to test scores of other schools in the state. Our graduation rate is 95% and MHS passed both AYP and UPASS this year.

We do have concern regarding our attendance score after seeing the recent school rankings and are looking closely into our attendance records from last year. It appears there are inconsistencies with the attendance data reported to the state office. We are in the process of working with the District and the USOE (Utah Office of Education) to resolve this question.

Murray High is a great school in a great district within a wonderful community. We thank our students, our teachers, our parents, and our community for their support! Go Spartans!
