Ben Lomond High School is under construction. We completed phase one and moved into the new part of the building between trimesters (March 3, 2009). I heard it compared to changing a tire on a moving bus. Today the old Science wing is being demolished, next is the old Junior and Senior Halls. The students did an incredible job helping us move into the new building.
One unique aspect of our school is also a part of the construction story. Our new facility was built to support three small learning communities. Each community has a designated wing where most of the core teachers are located. This is in an effort to help the teachers have the time and opportunity to plan and deliver lessons together in order to deepen learning for our students.
