American Greetings to make Ebony cards

LOS ANGELES (AFX) - Johnson Publishing Co., which publishes Ebony magazine, said Wednesday it is teaming with American Greetings Corp. to create cards for a newly developed Ebony Inspirations greeting card brand.

The first series of cards, which will feature some of Ebony's cover images, will hit about 900 Wal-Mart stores in February in celebration of Black History Month.

Ebony magazine was first published in 1945 and celebrated their 60th anniversary last year. It reaches more than 12.9 million readers monthly.
