TOOELE COUNTY -- A tractor-trailer hauling mail collided with a pickup truck in Tooele County Friday night.
The Utah Highway Patrol says the pickup truck was stopped in the emergency lane on Interstate 80 near the exit of Highway 36. The semi truck driver didn't see the pickup and plowed into it going about 75 miles per hour.
Crews extricated the pickup truck driver, and he was flown to a hospital in critical condition. The other driver was seriously injured.
The mail stayed in the truck, and postal service crews are transferring it to another mail truck.
