SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A 48-year-old man has been found dead in Zion National Park at the base of a 400-foot cliff.
Park rangers found a vehicle parked overnight at the Canyon Overlook Trail parking area east of the Zion Tunnel.
A search for the occupants began Wednesday. Rangers found the man's body Thursday morning.
Rangers say the man apparently fell from Canyon Overlook, which is about a half-mile from the parking area. The death remains under investigation.
Ron Terry, a park spokesman, says the man's body has been recovered.
The man's name and hometown were not immediately released.
