Grizzlies' Kinasewich named ECHL player of the month

Press ReleaseWest Valley City, Utah - The ECHL announced today that Utah Grizzlies captain Ryan Kinasewich has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for January.

In January, Kinasewich led the league with 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 13 games. It is the second time in his career that he has been named the league's player of the month. During January, the forward had eight multiple-point games, including three of three points and three games of four points.

Overall on the season, Kinasewich, who currently is riding a career-high ten-game scoring streak, has 17 goals and 32 assists for 49 points in 32 games.

All-time, Kinasewich has 108 goals and 145 assists for 253 points in his fourth season with the Grizzlies. He is currently 27 points away from Chris Taylor to become the all-time leading scorer in Grizzlies history. He needs just four goals to surpass Taylor as the all-time leading goal scorer in Grizzlies history.

The Grizzlies, unbeaten in regulation in their last ten games, return to action, Friday and Saturday when they will host Phoenix at the E-Center. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
