(KSL News) Faced with layoffs or furloughs, Utah State University administrators chose furloughs. Nearly 3,000 workers at USU will be required to take a one-week furlough next month.

Utah's courts system is looking at even more drastic furloughs to meet projected budget cuts. But what do employees think?

Jan Johnson represents the Utah Alliance of Government Employees, an advocacy organization. She joined us to discuss this issue in tonight's Talking Point.
