WAUKESHA, Wis., Oct 3, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- A woman has been sentenced in Waukesha, Wis., to two years in prison for attacking a couple with a metal pooper-scooper and a pair of scissors.
Leisa Reed was also sentenced to five years of extended supervision to be served after her jail sentence for reckless endangerment, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Tuesday.
"You were a person who was out of control," Waukesha County Circuit Judge Lee Dreyfus Jr. said during the sentencing Monday. "You don't know why it occurred. You don't know how you got there."
Reed was convicted of entering the home of John and Linda Dormer -- who were not previously acquainted with her -- and threatening to kill them while assaulting the couple with a metal pooper-scooper and a pair of scissors.
Reed, who had previous convictions for drunken driving and domestic violence, told authorities she had smoked crack cocaine before the incident.
