PHILADELPHIA, Oct 2, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Jeong Jang and Shiho Ohyama each moved up in the LPGA world rankings released Monday, even though the circuit had the week off.
Jang moved up to No. 8, dropping Michelle Wie to ninth, and Ohyama took over the No. 10 spot, knocking Pat Hurst to 11th.
The top spots remained unchanged, with Annika Sorenstam holding on to the No. 1 spot followed by Lorena Ochoa, Karrie Webb, Cristie Kerr and Juli Inkster.
Paula Creamer was still No. 6 with Ai Miyazato, Jang, Wie and Ohyama completing the Top 10.
The LPGA heads south this week for the Corona Morelia Championship at Morelia, Mexico. Carin Koch is the defending champion.
