(KSL News) Wasatch County prosecutors have formally charged Christopher Alvey for the shooting death of an American Fork woman.
Ashley Sparks was found near the visitors center at Jordanelle State Park with several gunshot wounds. She died soon after.
Prosecutors say Alvey shot Sparks to stop her from testifying against him and others in a drug case. If convicted, he could spend the next 20 years to life in prison.
Two other suspects could also face charges for Sparks' murder.
