(KSL News) A woman died and a child was injured in a car accident on I-15 in Ogden this afternoon.

The woman was identified as Liliya M. Barinova, 61, of Pleasant Grove. Her 10-year-old grandson of Providence, suffered a broken arm in the incident.

Sgt. Robbins of the Utah Highway Patrol says around 3 p.m., Barinova's car was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 near 26th Street when she started to change lanes. She saw another vehicle in the lane, overcorrected and lost control. Her car ended up facing west and was broadsided by a pickup truck.

Barinova died at the scene. Her grandchild was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center.
