YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE — Some car-related events undoubtedly look strange to outsiders. Take our demolition derbies, for example. If someone from another part of the world saw a crowded stadium full of people cheering for apocalyptic-looking cars to smash into each other, they'd probably wonder what was going on.
The same goes for the Glacier View Fourth of July Car Launch featured on KSL.com earlier this year. These events might not always make sense, but they're always entertaining.
Speaking of not making sense, I'm still trying to ascertain exactly what's happening in this video.
My questions include:
- Where did this take place?
- Are car-mounted axes common in this region?
- Was the second car pre-loaded with explosives, or did the axe just strike the perfect spot?
- Who are all these spectators?
- Did they come just for this one chop, or were multiple vehicles destroyed by giant axes?
If you have some insights, please share them in the comments section. Because the public deserves to know where on Earth these car chopping events are being held, so that we can all book tickets to go see them in person.
