HIGHLAND — Lehi spoiled Lone Peak's senior night in emphatic fashion Thursday, rolling to a 34-6 win behind a stingy defense, a few timely turnovers, and a game-changing kickoff return touchdown from BYU commit Legend Glasker.

Lehi's offense was slow out of the gate, and a fumble by running back Devaughn Eka led to a Lone Peak field goal, with the Pioneers' defense able to prevent a touchdown. The Knights scored again on another field goal before Glasker flipped the script.

With the offense looking lifeless, Treyson Fabrizio caught the ensuing kickoff and handed it off to Glasker, who came running behind him up the Lehi's sideline to catch the defense off guard as he cut across the field and raced for a touchdown.

"They kicked it to Tracy Fabrizio, and it was supposed to be a reverse and I was supposed to take it up the hole," Glasker said. "There was a big hole, but something just drew me back to the other side, and I saw the hole and I was gone."

This returned touchdown from Glasker put the Pioneers up 7-6; and once the Pioneers took the lead, they never looked back.

"Momentum is a big thing in this sport," Lehi head coach Andy Hadfield said. "When you don't have it, it's tough to get it back. You got guys like (Legend), they're special; they get it back for you, and then the team just rallies around. We expect big players to make big plays, and when they do it, it helps."

Bode Hammond added a field goal to give Lehi a 4-point cushion before the Pioneers defense began to flex its muscle.

Lone Peak quarterback Cruz Christensen had two costly interceptions in the second quarter. Vincent Evans picked off Christensen after reading his eyes and jumping in front of the pass. He then returned it to the Knights' 4-yard line to set up a touchdown run from defensive tackle Briggs Love to increase the lead.

Just before halftime, Fabrizio picked off Christensen after the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage. Lehi failed to take full advantage of the turnover but Hammond added another field goal to close out the first half with a two touchdown lead.

"I think our front seven, when they play like they can, we believe that they can shut guys down," Hadfield said.

The Pioneers defense continued its dominance and never allowed Lone Peak to gain any life in the second half, while the offense added a pair of touchdowns.

Lehi quarterback Wyatt Bingham did all that was asked of him in running his team's offense, and added a rushing touchdown of his own when he put his body on the line as he pulled the ball down and dove his way into the end zone to score a 10-yard touchdown in the finishing touches on a dominant victory.

Glasker accounted for two touchdowns on the night, adding to his kick return with a 20-yard end around rushing touchdown. His impact on the game was felt all over the field, and earned the praises of his head coach.

"He's a special player," Hadfield said. "I mean, when you're that good, you expect to do those kinds of things. We tried different ways to get the ball in his hands. He's not always receiving, it's not always down the field, sometimes it's got to be a different way to get you the ball."

Thursday's was a big win for Lehi as the school secured back-to-back wins against two top teams in the region, with a chance to make a run at the region title with a big game against Corner Canyon looming next week.

"We've got to peak at the right time," Hadfield said. "Every week it's about getting better, and these guys bought into it. A couple weeks ago, momentum changed in our favor, and energy's back in this program.

"I think a lot of people rolled us off after three losses. We didn't write ourselves off. We still believe we were one of the best teams in the state and have a chance to beat anybody on any day."

The Pioneers (6-3) will host Corner Canyon (7-1) on Wednesday, Oct. 15 to close out the regular season, while Lone Peak now turns its focus to the postseason.
