Elder Neil L. Andersen — The atoning love of Jesus Christ

Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles offered hope for those suffering from serious sins or affected by the sins of others.Elder Andersen said the unspeakable joy of forgiveness is awaiting you.Then, he described how to make the "beautiful beginning."Elder Andersen said that we should strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ, which in turn will invigorate the yearning of your soul to know him, believe in him, and yield your heart to him.Be completely honest with your Heavenly Father, who rejoices that you are coming to him with a broken heart and contrite spirit, Elder Andersen said.

Elder William K. Jackson — Remembering the sheep

Elder William K. Jackson, a general authority seventy, spoke on the importance of remembering the individuals in your communities.He shared how Christ is the best example of a shepherd who "taught us by word and deed the qualities of a good shepherd, including knowing your sheep by name, loving them, finding those that are lost, feeding and, ultimately, leading them back home again. He expects us to do the same as his under-shepherds."Elder Jackson explained that Christ organized his church to make it difficult to forget a soul, because "each is dear to him."

They worked together to find every single boy listed in the ward and bring them to church."Name by name, those lost sheep were welcomed back by their peers and fed spiritually and physically," Elder Jackson said.

Nelson, Elder Barlow recited a question once posed by the prophet: "Are you willing to let God be the most important influence in your life?"Elder Barlow expressed how serving each other is an unmistakable way to show love for God, and having a grateful heart is another expression of love, as acknowledged by the Lord."But the beautiful paradox is that the more we are focused on showing our love for God, the more easily we recognize his love for us," he said.Elder Barlow concluded by encouraging members to strive to show their love for God in the ways he recognizes and to trust in his perfect love for them.

Sister J. Anette Dennis — Cheering each other on

Sister J. Anette Dennis, first counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, offered encouragement for people who feel they are lagging far behind where others may think they should be.Sister Dennis told a story of a 100-year-old man who participated in a 1,500-meter race. Even though he came in last in the race, he set five world records.Sister Dennis said it takes "great courage for some of our sisters and brothers to step into the arena of life every day, knowing they may be judged unfairly even though they're doing the best they can against daunting odds to follow the Savior and honor their covenants with him."

Elder Patrick Kearon — Jesus Christ and your new beginning

Elder Patrick Kearon of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles spoke about how one can find a new beginning through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.He explained how Jesus "went about doing good" in his life and he is the "very essence and source of goodness."Jesus met with social outcasts, touched the diseased, comforted the weary, taught truth not accepted at the time, healed lepers, forgave the adulterous woman and more. With every person he interacted with, he offered them a new beginning, Elder Kearon said.

He never tires of giving them to us."Little by little, we should invite Christ into our hearts to become a true disciple.In his mortal ministry, Jesus taught all who came to him in faith, but he "also blessed those who had wavering faith. ... And he even poured out compassion on those who hadn't sought him at all," Elder Kearon said.
