DRAPER — One of two people who suffered stabbing injuries in Draper earlier in the month in an apparent domestic violence incident has died.
On Sept. 2, Draper police were called to the Anthology Apartments, 277 W. 13490 South, on a report of a stabbing. A woman was found outside of an apartment with multiple stab wounds, according to police.
"Per witnesses on scene, they asked the female who did this to her, and she said her boyfriend, who was still in the apartment," according to a search warrant affidavit.
Police found a man without a pulse inside the apartment with a single stab wound, who was taken to a local hospital. Isaac Lamptey, 34, who had a Virginia driver's license, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The 30-year-old woman survived and has since been released from the hospital, according to police.
"This incident is being investigated as a possible domestic violence situation. There are no outstanding suspects, and there is no threat to the public," police said at the time.
Draper police said the case would be sent to the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office for review to ensure nothing was missed, but as of Tuesday, charges are not expected to be filed against anyone.
