SANTAQUIN — A former elementary school janitor accused of sexually abusing multiple students is facing yet another new accusation of sexually abusing a neighbor boy several years ago.

Adrian Villar, 66, of Santaquin, was first charged in 2018 with inappropriately touching two boys at Sierra Bonita Elementary School in Spanish Fork in 2017.

He was charged again in 2023 with sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl years earlier at Santaquin Elementary School, not long after leaving Sierra Bonita and before the alleged abuse at that school was reported. He worked at Santaquin Elementary during the 2017-18 school year, according to investigators. That case, however, was dismissed last year, according to court records.

Villar was charged yet again in July with sexually abusing a 7-year-old boy in 2016 while the student was working at Villar's elementary school as a student lunch worker. Villar told the boy that if he told anyone what had happened, he would kill the boy's parents, according to charging documents.

Now, Villar is accused of sexually abusing a neighbor boy in Santaquin many years ago when the child was between 4 and 6 years old.

The alleged victim, now an adult, said Villar threatened to kill him if he spoke out and said Villar was "stern to the point that the victim was convinced that his life was in danger if he ever spoke of the assaults," according to a police booking affidavit.

"The victim reported that the assaults have caused him severe trauma, significantly impacting his life in a negative way. During the interview, he described living in fear and the trauma that has affected every aspect of his life. He also mentioned the countless hours he has spent in therapy as a result of his experiences," the affidavit says.

Villar is being held in the Utah County Jail for investigation of three counts of sexual abuse of a child and witness tampering in that case.

In the other remaining two cases, Villar faces four counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony; obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony; and lewdness involving a child, a class A misdemeanor.
