THE OFFICE — What's the best office prank you've ever seen? Maybe someone gift-wrapped your desk or put your stapler in Jell-O. Or perhaps it was a more subtle trick, like switching out your family photos with strangers or swapping around the keys on your keyboard.
There are meaner pranks out there, to be sure. But I prefer the type that leave people laughing instead of fuming. This perspective probably comes from the time in college when I pulled an elaborate prank on some friends in my apartment complex that went too far. Yes, it was an incredible prank. But the collateral damage was too much, and I regret it to this day.
Here's a video with an office prank that seems to check all the right boxes.
Right out of the gate, this prank is wonderfully silly. There's a bagpipe-wielding guy blaring a movie theme song at full volume. There's an unsuspecting victim carrying a plate of food from the office potluck. There's an accomplice behind the victim, giggling about the prank's perfect execution.
So, I'd say this is an ideal prank. You could argue that the victim might be angry or embarrassed about it, but he looks like the type of fellow who can legitimately laugh about things. And even though some food dropped to the floor, there was no carpet below to make spills an issue.
Take note. If you want to pull off a great prank in your office, buy a kilt, learn how to play the bagpipes and then be ready for action at your next potluck.
