PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Business owners, public officials and others are asking that something be done about the smell coming from the sewage treatment plant in American Fork.
The Timpanogos Special Service District two years ago gave preliminary approval for an $85 million expansion that would, in part, deal with the odor.
Pleasant Grove Mayor Michael Daniels, and others, say their concerns still haven't been addressed.
One business owner in the area says his tenants have complained about the odor and he's had a hard time selling property.
They voiced their concerns recently during a budget hearing hosted by the service district.
Keith Blake, a member of the district's board, says progress continues on the upgrades, including efforts to deal with the smell.
