It's hard to ignore the feats of European engineering, especially in the motorcycle industry. The birthplace of the first motorized bicycle, some of the world's most prestigious manufacturers call the colony home — and have brought multiple racing championships back to their respective countries.

The notoriety of some of these brands have made them as coveted as they are exclusive. Dealerships housing BMW, Ducati and Triumph, for example, attract potential buyers from long distances, all who share the hope of owning one of these exotic machines. This summer, Ogden's motorcycle community will no longer have to make such a trek.

Establishing a staple part of what will become a new dealership campus, Young Powersports will open their new Euro destination at 3990 Riverdale Road this July.

"The Ogden Valley and the enthusiasts in the community understand how significant this is," said Jeramie Young, director of Young Powersports. "We have a significant demand for high end motorcycles from consumers in the industry and they're incredibly deserving of a close destination to find the exotic machine they've always wanted."

The new location — named Young Powersports Euro — will house motorcycles from the manufacturers BMW, Ducati and Triumph, as well as parts, gear and accessories from a variety of brands. Their inventory will include staple vehicles from each company, such as the Ducati Scrambler, the BMW F 1250 GS Adventure and the Triumph Bonneville.

"What we love about our offerings is how diversified they are even with just three manufacturers," said Jeff Schoetz, general manager of Young Powersports Euro. "We have the best supersport, adventure, touring and cruiser bikes on the planet available. Customers who know these brands are going to be ecstatic about what we carry, and those who may be less familiar are going to be blown away by what these machines are capable of."

Young Powersports Euro is set to become the company's first dealer for machines from Ducati and BMW, adding to a list of over 20 manufacturers that the organization carries across their eight locations. Triumph's machines will be transferred from the old Young Powersports Ogden location to the new dealership.

Being housed in one of two facilities once overseen by Young Subaru, Young Powersports Euro will become the first installment of a dealership campus on Riverdale Road. The second building — located at 3920 Riverdale Road — will be moved into by Young Powersports Ogden, who will leave their current destination behind the NewGate Mall.

"An element of any great buying experience is accessibility," said Schoetz. "This new shopping environment will allow customers to look through stellar inventories just yards away, and allow us to hold better events in the future. It's going to have an incredible effect on how we connect with riding communities."

The Ogden dealership campus will become the second established by the company — the first being located in Davis County with Young Powersports XL Centerville and Young Honda Powerhouse.

Established a decade ago in Burley, Idaho, Young Powersports first entered Utah in 2019 by acquiring locations in Layton and Ogden. Since then, they've cultivated a presence as not only one of the largest powersports operations in the area, but one of the industry's most renowned businesses. This year, Young Powersports XL Centerville was recognized with two honors in Powersports Business magazine's Best In Class list.

"Each division of the Young Automotive Group shares a goal of continual expansion," Young said. "That not only means opening new locations, but setting new standards across the industry. We've been thrilled to see our efforts have an impact on how business is done nationally, and we can't wait to see how Young Powersports Euro will drive growth."

While the location is scheduled to open July 1, Young Powersports Euro will host a grand opening celebration from Aug. 8-9. A ceremony will be conducted on Aug. 8, which will feature a ribbon cutting, games, refreshments and speeches from Young Automotive Group executives as well as representatives from manufacturers. BMW will also bring their motorcycle semi-truck to the destination for the weekend.
