PRICE — A Price man has been charged with kidnapping three men he allegedly thought were sleeping with his wife.
Rogelio Bustillos, 52, was charged Tuesday in Price's 7th District Court with three counts of aggravated kidnapping and three counts of aggravated burglary, first-degree felonies; drug possession with intent to distribute, a second-degree felony; three counts of aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance within a correction facility, and two counts of prohibited dangerous weapon conduct, third-degree felonies.
Rogelio Bustillos forced his way into a Price home on June 5 and June 6, accusing the men he saw there of sleeping with his wife, according to Carbon County sheriff's deputies. He held three men at gunpoint while moving them from room to room and questioning their connections with his wife, a police booking affidavit states.
Deputies also say Bustillos placed his gun at the victims' heads and threatened to kill them if they did not answer his questions about his wife in a way he would accept. The victims estimated Bustillos held them for two hours, the affidavit says.
Bustillos allowed the men to leave their home and head to work by bicycle to a local restaurant, but not without informing them that if they called anyone to help them, he would kill them, police allege. The affidavit also says Bustillos threatened to kill the men if the police came near them.
Bustillos drove his vehicle while the men rode their bikes to work. Upon their arrival, Bustillos fled in the direction of Wellington, Carbon County, police said.
Law enforcement then searched the area for Bustillos, eventually finding his vehicle in the area between Helper and Price on June 6. Bustillos was taken into custody without incident.
Officers reported finding two firearms and 16 grams of what was believed to be cocaine in his vehicle.
