COSTA NAVARINO, Greece — A look at the seven candidates in the International Olympic Committee presidential election on Thursday. One of Sebastian Coe, Kirsty Coventry, Johan Eliasch, Prince Feisal al Hussein, David Lappartient, Juan Antonio Samaranch or Morinari Watanabe will win an eight-year mandate in an election near the site of Ancient Olympics in Greece. The challenges they will face include navigating a smooth path in politics and sports toward the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Games, finding a host for the 2036 Summer Games and protecting fairness in women's sports.
