EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed safety Theo Jackson to a three-year contract portending a larger role for next season. Jackson's agency, Equity Sports, announced that the deal running through 2027 is worth $12.615 million, with the first two years fully guaranteed at signing. Jackson was eligible to become a restricted free agent next week. He developed into a special teams ace and trusted backup over the last three seasons behind starters Harrison Smith and Cam Bynum. Both of those spots are in flux. Smith at age 36 must decide if he will continue playing. Bynum will be a free agent.
