WEST POINT — The Davis County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident that left two people injured Monday evening.

Just before 8 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a "domestic disturbance" near 750 N. 2000 West, Davis County sheriff's spokeswoman Stephanie Dinsmore said. She said officers found a father and son inside the home who were both injured.

"During the initial investigation, it was determined that a firearm was used during the altercation. One of the males suffered a gunshot wound, and the other male sustained a head injury," police said in a statement Tuesday.

Both men are at the hospital, where they have been stabilized, police said. The severity of their injuries was not released.

No charges have been filed, and the incident is under investigation to determine what led to the altercation.
