MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota is playing without leading scorer Mara Braun for the second straight season and this time learning how to win without her. The Gophers are 17-2 overall and 5-2 in Big Ten play. They're 23rd in the latest Associated Press poll in their second consecutive week in the Top 25. The program was absent from the national rankings for more than five years. Braun broke her foot last season and watched the Gophers lose eight of their last nine regular season games without her. She suffered the reinjury five games into this season. Minnesota plays 24th-ranked Michigan on Wednesday night.
