Scott O'Neil takes over as the CEO of Saudi-funded LIV Golf

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Scott O'Neil is officially the new CEO of LIV Golf. O'Neil takes over for Greg Norman, the driving force behind the Saudi-funded league when it launched in 2022.

O'Neil comes to LIV from Merlin Entertainments.

He was the CEO who oversaw operations of 140 attractions in 23 countries. H

e previously was CEO of the holding company that owned the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and NHL's New Jersey Devils.

LIV begins its fourth season next month. The financial muscle behind the league is the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. PIF remains in discussions about a minority investment deal with PGA Tour Enterprises.
