EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings are fully appreciative of the value Josh Oliver brings to their offense despite his unglamorous role as a run-blocking tight end. He was a priority in free agency last year as Minnesota tried to improve its ground game. The Vikings are in awe of his strength. Oliver is listed at 6-foot-5 and 259 pounds. He showed off his versatility last week with a career-high five catches for 58 yards and a touchdown in a victory over Indianapolis. He has scored in two straight games. Minnesota plays at Oliver's original team, Jacksonville, this week.
