PARIS — Letsile Tebogo of Botswana hopes he struck a blow for all African-born sprinters with his victory in the 200 meters. Tebogo tracked down Kenneth Bednarek of the U.S. and ran away from American star Noah Lyles in a thrilling final to win in 19.46 seconds. Tebogo paid tribute to his late mother in the aftermath. The 21-year-old had written his mother's name on one of his cleats before the race. The gold is the first ever at the Olympics for Botswana, a landlocked nation of 2.63 million located just north of South Africa.
