NEW YORK — Jose Iglesias had three more hits, including a two-run single that snapped a sixth-inning tie and vaulted the New York Mets over the Washington Nationals 6-2. Brandon Nimmo homered for a career-best third straight game and Mark Vientos hit a tying double as the Mets won for the 10th time in their last 12 at home to move over .500 at 46-45. New York was 11 games under .500 on June 2. Luis Severino pitched effectively into the seventh inning and a struggling bullpen came through, with three relievers combining to allow one hit in 2 2/3 scoreless innings. José Buttó retired all four batters he faced, striking out two, for his first career save. Buttó became the eighth Mets pitcher to earn a save this season.
