MINNEAPOLIS — Olympic gymnastics hopefuls Kayla DiCello and Shilese Jones scratched from the first night of the U.S. Olympic trials due to injury. The 20-year-old DiCello, an alternate on the 2020 Olympic team, didn't complete her vault and sat on the mat for several minutes while being tended to by trainers. Jones tweaked her left knee during vault warm ups. She skipped the event but did compete on uneven bars. While she did complete her routine, she then pulled out of her final two rotations, uneven bars and balance beam.
