PAYSON — A semitruck hit the underside of an overpass while crossing underneath I-15 in Payson Tuesday afternoon.
The truck was on Main Street going under the I-15 bridge when the top of the vehicle hit the underside of the overpass, Utah Department of Transportation spokesman John Gleason said. The collision caused the semitruck to turn over.
Payson fire and rescue said the collision occurred on the northbound side of Main Street and warned drivers via the social media platform X to expect delays on the southbound off-ramp. There was one lane open going south under the overpass.
