The Professional Women's Hockey League is riding high by approaching the close of its inaugural season by setting attendance records and earning recognition for making the largest breakthrough on the sports landscape. However, PWHL officials Stan Kasten and Jayna Hefford said Friday that the work of building a six-team league from scratch is hardly done. The challenges in the offseason include addressing issues ranging from identifying right-sized venues to having no room to fit an influx of nearly 150 players declaring for the draft. The two spoke before Minnesota hosted Boston in Game 3 of the PWHL best-of-five championship series, which was tied at 1.
